Last night was the annual Ward Ski Night at Beaver Mountain. This was the first year we made the trip up for it. It was the first time skiing for the kids and they loved it. We didn't get skis for Landon because he was happy sledding (with and without a sled) or just playing in the snow....until about 20 minutes before closing time and he decided he wanted to ski. We put Brynlee's skis on him and I packed up the car and returned Ashlee's skis while Rob took Landon down the mini hill a couple of times. He loved it and said it was so fun, especially when he was going so fast that daddy couldn't catch up to him!
Landon was in heaven when he found this huge snow pile. "Look, mom! I'm as tall as the ROOF!"

FUN! I love the magic carpet...seems much less scary than a ski lift. I remember when I went snowboarding I almost had a panic attack every time I had to get off that thing. The magic carpet is genius!
I have to agree with Mary Anne! The WORST part about snowboarding is getting off the lift. I fall every time! Ward Ski Night?! I love the idea....we never had that in AZ! haha
Looks like fun! Did you ski? I've never been skiing other than cross country once.
The magic carpet is cool! If I remember right, when we went in the Alps they had a rope that you had to hold onto to pull you up the bunny slope (definitely not as easy for little kids as the magic carpet I'm thinking!). Then for the big mountain they had a ski lift.
