Summer is officially over. Ashlee headed back to school this morning to start 2nd grade. She was so excited that she got Mrs. Abbott for her teacher. I've heard lots of WONDERFUL things about Mrs. Abbott so hopefully she has a great year, despite the fact that her two best friends are in another class together. I think she had a small case of butterflies last night. At dinner she said her tummy hurt a little bit…I thought it might just be because she was hungry since we ate a little later than usual. Then as she was going to bed she said her tummy was still hurting a little. I wasn't sure if it was just nerves so we had her sleep on the floor with a big bowl by her…sad that I care more about washing her bedding than having her sleep in her comfy bed…call me a bad mom, whatever! She was fine in the morning and was all ready to go to school in her cute curls (which had fallen out by the time I took this picture after school...dead camera battery in the morning). We'll have another first day of school next Monday when Brynlee heads to KINDERGARTEN!!
